And the Wheels Keep Turning...

Today's Washington Post, in an emotional lull between the Lady Terps winning the national championship and the start of the Masters Golf Tournament (a/k/a the official start of Spring), sends us a couple of reasonably hot political articles...the first is a blog description of the relationship between Governor Tim Kaine and State Senator John Cichester...

Kaine and Chichester make common cause

I read this, and I don't know which wing of the Politicians Hall of Fame a portrait of John Chichester should hang: The "Profiles in Courage" wing or the Arnold-Quisling Wing. Actions like this show that there are actually three parties in the Virgina State Senate: The democrats, the moderate republicans, and the conservative republicans. The funny thing is that in most states the folks in the moderate wing would be considered card carrying members of the conservative wing!
